RIGID SECURITY
Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This notice explains how Rigid Security uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us about our services or community partnerships.
Who is responsible for your information?
Rigid Security, based in Southampton, Hampshire, is responsible for deciding how information received through its website enquiries is used. Contact us at admin@rigidsecurity.co.uk or on 07455 290002 for privacy questions or to request postal contact details.
Information we collect
If you contact us, you may provide your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, service required, service location and details of your requirements. We also receive information contained in subsequent correspondence.
Our website host, Vercel, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, which may include your IP address, browser information, requested pages, request times and security or error logs. We have not enabled advertising trackers or visitor analytics tools on this website.
How the enquiry form works
The current form prepares an email in your own email application. Entering information alone does not submit it to Rigid Security: you must send the prepared email. The form does not save your entries in website cookies or browser storage. Your email provider handles the email you choose to send. You can also contact us directly by telephone or email.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry information to answer your questions, discuss your requirements, prepare quotations, arrange services and manage relevant business correspondence. We do not use an enquiry as consent to send unrelated marketing.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we use information needed for those steps. For business enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, general enquiries and partnership discussions, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to requests and managing our business relationships. Website operation and security also support our legitimate interests in providing a reliable and secure service. We may process information when required by law.
Who may receive your information?
Information may be accessed by Rigid Security personnel and authorised service providers who need it to handle your enquiry or support the website, email and business administration. Visualytes provides website and enquiry administration support where required. Providers must only receive information relevant to their role. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
This website is hosted by Vercel. The website’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to request font files and sends technical connection information such as your IP address. You can read Vercel’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for their processing details.
International processing
Website and email providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for a transfer, appropriate transfer arrangements must apply. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer the enquiry, manage any resulting relationship and meet relevant legal or record-keeping obligations. Retention depends on whether an enquiry results in a service, whether a dispute remains unresolved and whether information must be kept by law. Contact us for the retention period applicable to your information. Technical logs are managed under the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where that right applies. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are not absolute.
Send requests to admin@rigidsecurity.co.uk. We may need to check your identity before providing personal information. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Providing information and keeping it secure
Contact details and a description of your requirements help us respond. You may omit optional details or contact us another way, but insufficient information may prevent us from answering fully. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
Access to enquiry information should be limited to people who need it. Internet and email communications cannot be guaranteed completely secure. We do not use this website to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the website or our use of information changes. See our cookie policy for information about cookies and similar technologies.
